22min performance at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Graduation Show 2025
I’ve Been Fingered by an Angel too is a 22-minute aerial performance with three performers, including myself. Suspended from a raw metal structure I designed and built, inspired by Thor’s hammer, a symbol of strength, connection, and protection, the piece explores the sacred geometry of the triangle through balance, tension, and transformation.
The performers move between states of hell and heaven, their broken body shapes and shifting weights suspended in a fragile equilibrium. Against a soundscape of modified acoustic instruments, their gestures oscillate between swinging struggle and transcendence, embodying the raw friction of opposing forces as well as the beauty that emerges from it.
